Hello family and friends!
An email update is long overdue - thank you for your patience as we've tried our best to get settled at home. We've been sharing smaller updates on social media! Yesterday marked the six week point at home which is remarkable and we have not taken a moment for granted. It has felt like the first time we've really brought our new baby home - she just happens to be a little older and experienced than her first days of life.
Riverlyn is doing well overall. As always we're working toward stability and progress. She has a renal ultrasound and cardiology appointment coming up soon to make sure all is well. We have been working on calibrating her medications and feeding schedule which is always delicate and slow going. We're still not eating by mouth which is a prayer point.
This weekend we have special nursing coverage to be able to go to church as a family for the first time for baby dedications!
As for the rest of us lol - as a family we are preparing to celebrate Lee's 80th birthday! My cousin Jennifer is coming from California with her new baby to visit. Nathan is growing and growing - he's incredibly creative, articulate, and energetic!!! Matthew is largely back in his work/ministry flow and is enjoying his front-row seat to God's plans and movements. I'm pursuing self-care, more resources for Riverlyn (praying that a 3-hr case review yesterday will yield fruit for us), and exercising creativity and collaboration (I'll be sharing more on my irons in the fire soon)!
We are so very thankful for being in the same room together. All of the sustaining prayers are truly carrying us! We <3 u all!
