ORIGINS

As a girl my imagination was always running wild and I questioned everything. I enjoyed creative writing and was an award-winning author by elementary school! Yet, in the wake of discovering the world and myself, my reality was tempered by circumstance. My younger sister and I lost our parents when we were young. Since that time, the ebb and flow of fallout, grief, and restoration has been profound.  

 

With the birth of my daughter, our family was thrust into the world of Congenital Heart Disease (CHD). The sober realities and life-altering vulnerabilities therein have produced fruit worth harvesting and community worth sharing. 

 

Today I find myself renewed in spirit, inspired in soul, and grateful in body. As I embrace the trials of life as a parent rather than a child a whole new dimension of creative life has opened within me. Everything I wanted to do and be as I grew up is now possible.​

 

The Whispering Pearl is an image that represents my identity and function in this existence. As always, my identity and inspiration are grounded in the One who created creation.  

 

These verses express the foundational experience and mandate of The Whispering Pearl.  I encourage everyone to listen for His whisper and, when it’s time, share what you hear… ​
