Surgery Tomorrow

Surgery is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. We are thankful for the promptness and yet the flurry of emotions is upon us acutely.

The CT allowed the team to make an actual model of her heart that they use to make decisions about surgical approach (pretty cool).

First they’ll try to modify the existing melody valve. If that’s unsuccessful they’ll replace it outright.

We’ve had lots of little things pop up in the last day like a semi major bleed for Rivy, some tech issues, and a breastmilk error (which hits me hard). We’re taking it all in stride but the exhaustion is really catching up to Matthew especially.

Please pray for Matthew’s rest, my (Lindsay’s) peace, Grandma Kathy’s stamina, Nathan’s patience, and Riverlyn’s perfect healing in this surgery, recovery, and beyond!
