Set Back & Celebrating

On Thursday evening Rivy’s numbers were acting a little funny. I thought it was a bad probe so I did a manual count and her heart rate was much lower than normal. I called in and they wanted me to bring her immediately for assessment.

At 11pm I woke up Grandma to call a cab and got dressed. I put Rivy in the ergo carrier and grabbed my purse and her diaper bag. Once on the street the cab was still 8 mins away - too long. So, I took off down the street for two blocks to the ER.

They were expecting us and we got right in. Her numbers were still up and down so they started a full workup (ekg, xray, labs, IV…). We got admitted and into a room around 3am. Not ten minutes after Rivy got to sleep they rushed back into the room to do another EKG, as her rhythms were acting a little funny,

I got almost zero sleep 😵‍💫

The next morning the team talked through her post op regiment and consulted with their rhythm specialists. Long story short, they stopped one of her meds and she seems to be doing fine!

We came back to the apartment (again) yesterday afternoon and her numbers were just fine overnight.

Today we are celebrating Matthew’s birthday! We had to make sure to get him a top rated lobster roll 🦞 We went to Eventide Fenway and not only was it seriously delicious they gave us 3 desserts on the house to celebrate Matthew’s birthday and Rivy’s recovery!

We will plan to head home early this week 💫
