Rivy Update: Open Heart #3

Family, Friends, & Team Rivy, 

We had a consultation with Boston Children's Hospital this morning and, per our last note, it looks like we will be Boston-bound when we hear back from their scheduling team. Riverlyn's current issue is structural and can only be resolved by surgical intervention. 

The next step will be to get a heart CT to measure the annulus (image below) and determine if the melody is still the best bioprosthetic valve option (it likely will be because her small size limits the possibilities). 

We will now be looking into travel logistics and figuring out how to make this happen, as they'd like to see her not go past a mid-summer timeframe for surgery (being mid-May, that's not long at all). Please pray for everyone's health and safety as we prepare for this surgery, and the resources (tangible and otherwise) to see our brave girl through. 

If anyone missed it, one of Riverlyn's home nurses won a national award and we were able to be with her in Los Angeles to receive it: Maya - HERO & as of two days ago, Riverlyn is officially crawling (HUGE)!
