Rivy’s Road to Home

Riverlyn has come through some of the toughest parts of her initial recovery in the last 72 hours! She’s overcome a fever, slight pneumopericardium, and some nausea/throwing up. She has also:

• Had multiple X-rays

• Had a full echo

• Been off narcotics for 24h

• Had her chest tube out and wires out

• Reduced swelling quite a bit

• And got transferred out of the ICU to the acute care floor

Day 2 Post-Op | Monkey Cuddles

Now we are looking for

• Feeding tolerance

• Graduating to enteral lasix

• Weaning of a few post op meds, and

• Good labs tomorrow!

It feels like a miracle to see her so close to “herself” again - feistiness and all. We also got a coveted visit from one of the gorgeous therapy dogs here. Rivy was in heaven.
