Riverlyn 💓 Update

Friends & Family,

Riverlyn has been home for a few months now and in so many ways it has felt like a dream. The past couple weeks have been a bit tougher for Rivy and we’ve seen work load to maintain her baseline increase. We had a cardio work up today to take a look at things.

She still has room to grow into her melody valve and the heart is straining to compensate for the valve stent. Given that we’ve been referred to the heart failure team. They’re not saying she needs a transplant but feel it’s wise to have multiple sets of eyes on her unique case. We are upping some of her meds to see if that helps in the meantime.

Alas, when it rains it pours… Matthew’s mom Lee will be having a bone marrow biopsy this week after two plus years of being leukemia free 🙏🏼 and the furnace went out 🙃

We’ve learned, this year in particular, what’s the most important when facing any trial: faith, love, and rest. God has been incredibly present in all of this, even when we find ourselves weeping in the face of vulnerability and the unknown.

One more bit of news: I’ve put some time and energy into sharing myself via design with the world. Two weeks ago I launched The Whispering Pearl, an online shop for my designs. There are heart and holiday options! www.thewhisperingpearl.com

I know we’ve said thank you to this group many times - in my soul I wonder if we’ve fatigued the grace and goodwill of our community and then I remember than the grace of God is inexhaustible 💫

How very thankful we truly are for all the continued love and care. May your Thanksgiving holiday be filled with all the glories and graces of Jesus 🤍
