🤍 Riverlyn 🤍 - Update -

Hello hello, 

Thank you all for the continued prayers! 

Wednesday morning was coarctation repair surgery. It was successful as they pulled from another artery in her arm to provide for the aorta. 

During the procedure Matthew felt a swell of encouragement from God 💫

Today she’s been in the PICU with a dedicated nurse and team who’s been excellent. She’ll be there for an undetermined time given her progress. 

She had an echo earlier today and the repair looked good. The mitral valve is the next big ticket and they’re watching it closely now that the she’s off the bypass duct and is using her newly patched aorta for blood flow and supply. 

The prayer is for both the aorta and mitral valve to grow so her blood flows strongly and sufficiently. 

An immediate goal is to see her breathing on her own post-op. She’s got fluid in her lungs they’re working on. 

Right now it’s day by day 🙏🏼 Matthew and I are both quite tired physically and emotionally. We value prayers for our marriage and endurance as we steward these circumstances.
