Riverlyn's road to home...🏡 - Update 4 -

Hi all, 

Surgery went well today. They attempted a repair but her anatomy wasnt sufficient for that to be successful so she received a replacement. They placed a 17mm St. Jude mechanical mitral valve. Now comes recovery...first is extubation and tomorrow they'll start the blood thinner process. This piece (coumadin) is projected to be life-long and is a bit delicate. We have much to learn but feel so thankful that she's come through all she has and is one step closer to home after today. 

Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes! Once we're out of the pediatric ICU we will move back to progressive care to make sure she is stable, eating, growing, and ready for home!
