Hello hello,
Now that we’ve had a little more time to get our ducks in a row it feels much easier to compose an update.
This week Riverlyn had an ENT scope to evaluate her vocal cord that was immobilized during her first heart surgery. The doctor said only about 10% of patients with that injury see full reinvigoration. Well … it’s completely healed and moving normally 🙌🏼 This is such a big deal for her future when it comes to safety and eating.
We are still working on getting her therapies set up, nursing care in order, and making progress on feeding.
Nathan is loving having us home. He kisses Rivy about 50x a day 🤗
Matthew is respectively back to work so we are relying heavily on help and I’m starting to experience what the new normal and having both kids on my own is like.
Right now, we are praying that our application for nursing hours will be approved, for Matthew’s and my energy to be sustained day to day, and that we see the provision for this season. In that department, while we are applying for nursing hours, The HEARTest Yard has gifted us more bridge hours 🥹 I honestly don’t know what we’d do without this incredible organization ❤️🔥 We got connected to a nurse who is perfect for us and we want to keep her as long as possible!
Thank you to everyone who has sent a note, said a prayer, and/or brought/sent a meal/giftcard. These are big big deals right now and it means so much.
Riverlyn is 4 months old today!
