👶🏼 It's go time!

She’s here! Riverlyn August Hope was born 1/17/24 6:25am, 7lb 6oz, 20 in, happy and healthy. 

It was a long road to delivery…! We came in Monday for gestational hypertension and proceeded with an induction to meet our desire of a v-bac. The short version is that my body did not respond to any of the induction measures and when we made a pathway for Riverlyn she did not have any interest in it 🙃

From 5:30pm Monday to about 5am this morning we pursued delivery. Ultimately we opted for the cesarean as all other avenues had been exhausted. Matthew and our amazing doula, Julie Appleyard, were true champions the whole time - dealing with big decisions and VERY little sleep. 

The procedure went well and I anticipate a swift and complete recovery  💫

We are so thankful that God saw us through this adventure and are overwhelmed with joy and gratitude for the gift of a daughter. 

We should be home in a few days for Rivy to meet the family 🤍
